Next to a woman's face, her breasts are the second most significant body part that she worries about and how they look. If you are self-conscious about the size and shape of your breasts, then you may want to consider having a cosmetic procedure called breast augmentation done.
Reasons for Breast Augmentation
• If you feel that your breasts are just too small
• If your breasts have shrunk after pregnancy
• If your breasts are two different sizes
Your cosmetic surgeon can increase the size of your breasts by inserting implants that can make you look younger and improve your self-confidence. You should consult a cosmetic surgeon to discuss your expectations and see if this surgery is right for you.
Implants
A breast implant is a silicone rubber shell filled with either medical grade silicone gel or saline. This is another option that you will need to discuss with your surgeon when discussing breast augmentation. Saline is a natural body fluid, but silicone gel looks better.
A short incision is made either in the crease under your breast or around areola, the dark skin surround the nipple, or in the armpit. If the implant is placed through the armpit, your surgeon may use an endoscopically assisted breast augmentation. Using a small television camera mounted on a thin, lit tube, your surgeon will insert the implant via the armpit incision without leaving a scar on the breast.
After surgery you will feel tired and sore for a few days, but you should be getting around 24 to 48 hours after your surgery. Your pain and discomfort can be controlled by prescription medication. After a few days any gauze dressings can be removed and you may need to wear a surgical bra. The swelling in your breasts will take a couple of months to completely go away.
There are numerous cosmetic surgeons in your area who can assist you with your cosmetic surgery needs whether it's a breast augmentation or another procedure that you would like to have done, schedule a consultation with a cosmetic surgeon in your area today.
