The lock operates with just one finger or the side of a hand, the maker says, so it works for the age-in-place market. It is long lasting, resists extreme temperatures, features a streamlined design, and allows users to easily tell whether the window is locked, the maker says.

Weather Shield. The push-out casement window has hinges with friction devices that allow opened or partially opened windows to stay securely. Oil-rubbed bronze hardware is standard and brushed nickel is available. The window features a hinged wood screen that opens inward, simulated divided lite grille bars, and a historic look, the maker says. It can come in multiple jamb depths and a 49/16-inch standard jamb thickness.

EcoStar.EcoVent is a continuous, tile-over ridge vent that helps hot, moist air escape from the attic. Its low-profile design allows it to sit under a roof's hip and ridge tiles, making it less visible. The vent protects against rain, snow, and ice and comes in trimmable 20-foot long by 10½-inch wide rolls.
